Exciting News!

I am delighted to say that I have been chosen to be a member of the Design team at Cards Galore ! I feel really  honoured to have been chosen and am looking forward to working with a great group of crafting ladies!
Now there's a thought, what term should be used for a "Group of crafters?"
Perhaps a Chatter of crafters, or a creation of crafters, or a giggle ... what do you think?
Anyway please check out Cards Galore (you can click on the green badge to the right or the link above) and join in the fun of the challenges!

The Challenge for February is BUTTERFLIES and the lovely people at Mei flower have kindly donated a £10 voucher for the winning entry!

AH! Flowers!

Having a play with distress inks!

I was lucky enough to get some Tim Holtz distress stains for Christmas and I was inspired by the Craft Stamper magazine  to give them a go with two sets of dark Room Door's gorgeous London stamps.
I used Daler Rowney Art masking fluid (smelly but inexpensive and effective) to mask the areas where I wanted light, and then dipped a sharpened pencil into it to get a snow effect.
Given it is the first time that I have ever used the stains I was pleased with the results.

I have some exciting news which I will be sharing with you shortly so, "Watch this Space!" x

Well it's a New Year! 2012 and so I am entering a Brand New challenge! I wasn't sure if it would count as "Black and Red"? but I looked at the other entries and they both include white, so here it is! I made it for my daughter Bethany's, very good friend, the lovely Kira!
I printed guitar music for the background and cut the rest using Quarter notes, I distressed using Black soot from Tim Holtz!

Entered for the Cards Galore Black and Red Challenge!
