Humphrey Sweet Treats Card

A recent challenge over on Dawn's Crafty cards was to produce a card entitled, "Sweet Treats". I chose to use a lovely stamp by Sally Humphrey's for Crafter's Companion from the Humphrey range. I used Bazzill Bling card, cut it with spellbinders and decorated with crystals. To colour I used Copics and Flexi Markers .
Happy Tuesday :) x

Liebster Blog Award

I'm really delighted to have been chosen for this award and it means so much that the lovely Isobel from Isobel's Crafty creations passed it on to me. "Liebster " is German for "dearest" and the idea is to spread the love from one small blog ( under 200 followers) to another. This helps to spread the knowledge and readership.I now nominate 5 blogs that I appreciate and value. TO ACCEPT THE AWARD YOU MUST 1. Link back to the person who gave you the award and thank them for thinking of you 2. Post the award badge to your blog 3. Give the award to 5 blogs ( under 200 followers) YOU appreciate and value 4. Leave a comment on each of your chosen blogs to let them know you've given it to them. MY 5 CHOSEN BLOGS ARE
1. http://gem-louise.blogspot.com/
2. http://joscraftycardcreations.blogspot.com/
3. http://www.stampsandmemories.co.uk/blog/
4. http://www.dawnscraftycards.net/
5. http://dibavardesigns.blogspot.com

I hope that you are all pleased to receive this (and I would have liked to have given it back to Isobel too!) x

Friday, 3 February 2012

Well it was my lovely daughter, Bethany's birthday yesterday and she had a wonderful day. She was especially touched by the cards she received from Dawn's Crafty Cards Group (please see the link on the right and join for crafting companionship!)
Bethany is very keen on Japanese Manga and Anime, so I decided to create a manga style card , with characters from "Ouran Host Club" (Please understand here I have no idea what that is other than it is something she likes!)
I used copics to colour the cartoon (which I adapted on my laptop) , foiled with black foil and used my Cricut to cut the rose shapes. I curled the black fronds using a pencil. she was very pleased with her card which was a great relief for me as there is more than a little pressure each year to get it right!!!
