TA DAH!!!!

Hello All!  Well in between the sun, the rain and the rain... I have managed to do a little bit more crafting!
I can't believe that the time has come for the second DCC & FRIENDS Challenge.

This month the theme is FAIRIES, MYSTIC & MAGIC!

There will be two overall winners as well as usual our top three.

We are proud to be sponsored by Sharon Duncan Crafts who has kindly donated Home Tweet Home Cd Rom for one winner.

We are also delighted to be sponsored by PaperCraftJunkies who have generously donated six digi images of your choice for one winner.

Please head over to the Blog for the rules etc.

I started this one wanting to make a box frame card, however once I started designing on my NEW Silhouette Cameo (more about that later!), it evolved into a "Book box frame Card". I used the draw feature on the Silhouette to write the title on the spine and then used it to make faux pages for the edges of the "Book", and tabs to tie the book with ribbons. Having done that I decided that I wanted to make it into a shaker box, so I cut acetate to fit. I also cut the words "Ta Dah!" and some stars. I used spellbinders dies to cut and emboss the swirl pieces for the front cover and did lots of distress inking on all the edges. I then cut and printed a rabbit coming out of a hat. The Wizard boy was a LOTV stamp (as you know my faves!) and I coloured both in with my Copics which I LOVE, LOVE LOVE!!!
I hope you like my project :) x

It's that time again!

Once again there is a new challenge over at the gorgeous Cards Galore Challenge Blog !

I particularly enjoyed this Challenge although I was overtaken by Rainbow fairies and the "tag" challenge grew into "tags" :)

I used one of my favourite stamps, "Little Ballerina", from LOTV. I was only going to stamp one image for a single tag but little rainbow ballerinas were flitting in and out of my mind, so I decided to go for seven images! (As my husband says, "Nothing exceeds like excess!"). I designed the tag shape on my Craft Robo and welded them together to make a concertina tag card.

I airbrushed the background using Copic pens and coloured the ballerinas using the same hue as the background. I then cut seven lengths of white ribbon and used the main colour Copic pen to colour the ribbon to match each tag (I just LOVE the fact that the only plain ribbon I need to buy is white!) To finish I coloured seven clear gems with the same Copic colour as the ribbon. I think this would make a lovely 7th Birthday card for a little Ballerina!

Please travel over to Cards Galore and Enter the Challenge, we would love to see your tags, and each day a new pair of DT tags will be blogged for your  enjoyment and inspiration (we hope!) :) x
