I Love My Dad! (and My Mum too!)

I haven't been able to blog for a while as I had two procedures for Carpal tunnel and trigger finger in my left hand. The procedures were carried out by local anaesthetic, I wasn't madly happy that when the anaesthetist said he was finished injecting me with Lidocaine (10 injections!!!!) the consultant said that I needed to be injected with Lidocaine and adrenalin and to start again!
I'm not sure what I expected beforehand but the two incisions were bigger than I had imagined but are pretty much healing up nicely now.
Anyway on to my Father's Day Card, which was attempted with a new PURPLE COW Trimmer- what a load of rubbish that was! You know the joke about evening off the bottom of a chair leg, how you just keep shaving a bit off of each leg till it's a stool? Well trying to use the new trimmer was like that- not a straight cut in sight! The card had to be simple as it was a mainly one handed affair and here it is. It's not that I think it's a fab card, but I just wanted to put it on record that I LOVE MY DAD! I think I have been exceptionally lucky to have been brought up by both MUM and DAD, I couldn't have had a happier childhood :) XXXX

Jubilations!

Well happy Jubilee to everybody. My Jubilee card is an easel card made using a stamp from Little Claire. I made the files to cut the crowns myself using my robo lite and silhouette software. My next BIG must have item is the Silhouette Cameo, but it's not getting any closer than top of my wishlist at the moment LOL! Still a girl can dream crafty things!
Hope you all had a great Jubilee weekend, don't forget to go on over to the Cards Galore Blog Challenge to win some lovely prizes in the Colour Inspiration challenge.
I'm off to the hospital tomorrow to get my left hand fixed (hopefully!) although the Carpal tunnel is much worse in the right hand the trigger finger is worse in the left, so they are doing that hand first!
Be back in a couple of days, I'm hoping the craft withdrawal isn't too bad lol!(planning on stamping out lots of bits tonight so I can still do some colouring!)
by the way if you have a CRICUT machine, please head over to our Facebook Group, "I love my Cricut and I live in the UK", it is open to anybody living anywhere but no mention of USA Cart prices LOL! x

I am entering this for the Red White and Blue Challenge 196 at Cupcake Craft Challenges,
Diamond Jubilee Crowns and gems at Simon Says Stamp Challenges and
Top, Tip Tuesday Sparkles Galore (the dress has glitter on the underskirt and the crowns have "Bling"!)

Hi All! Well it's Blog Challenge time over at the Cards Galore Blog Challenge and this month the theme is, "Colour Inspiration", using the colours below

Of course to complicate things I decided that I would have to attempt it without using flowers! This made it much more difficult and I am not overly pleased with my final effort (below) . However, why don't you have a go as there are always lovely prizes available over at Cards Galore and you this month may just win some Wellington products :)

I used Polkadoodles stamps, card candi and a paint colour swatch for the tabs. The background is airbrushed with Copics (clouds) and the gingham is stamped using a Cover a Page Stamp with a Brilliance multicoloured ink pad. I am not very happy with it but I suppose it would make a bright New Home card!
