Twelve Days of Christmas Day 10!

There is a Fabulous Twelve Days of Christmas happening at Scrappers Delight. To celebrate the launch of the Scrapper's Delights Fan Group we are doing a Count Down to Christmas and every day there is a free gift to all fans in the group!!
Today is Day 10 which is my day to showcase this beautiful Harp playing Angel.
I used printand cut for the angel and coloured with Copics. I cut the wreath and Merry Christmas on my Cameo and added pearl drop points. The doily is from a Cheery Lyn die. I wanted to keep the colours muted and deliberately chose to have the Merry Christmas as more of a texture than an obvious sentiment.
If you join the Facebook group HERE you can get this lovely angel FOR FREE!
What are you waiting for?

Snow time Sprite!

I think I am measuring my life in fortnightly stretches! Another fortnight has passed and once again there is a new challenge at Scrappers Delights The theme is, "Bling it up!" Which is a great theme as you can choose anything you like provided it has some gems and or sparkle!

I chose the lovely Winter Elf digi and coloured her with my Copics. I designed the background panel myself and cut it on my Cameo. The other backing was embossed and sprayed with Crafters Companion pink glitter spray. I added some bling and here she is ....

Happy Crafting,

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Well, it's official, Father Christmas is having to help the Elves out with the toymaking this year. Mainly due to an unprecedented demand for sledges, thanks to the UK weather forecasters who have been making wild predictions of snow (as yet unseen in these parts!)
I managed to capture this sneak preview of the venerable gentleman , in his shirt sleeves, helping out with the UK sledge shortage.
The image is from Scribble and Scrap and can be found HERE .
As usual I cut everything on my Cameo. The image and picture frame using print and cut and the rest on a normal cut. Coloured with Copics, Graph'it and Kuretake Alcohol markers and a bit of glitter for a twinkle!

Monkey Business!

This little card proved a welcome break from Christmas and Halloween! Over at Cards Galore the challenge is Animals and Meljen have kindly sponsored the challenge offering four digi stamps from the store for the winner.
As usual I cut everything on my Cameo (card, mats, lettering, birthday badge) the monkey was coloured in using Copics AND Graph'it pens. I treated myself to the skin tone set and also some reds. I have to say that they are a quality pen. I love my Copics and work well with the brush end but there are times when you could do with a fine bullet end (and the colours in the anniversary set are limited in number) and that is where the Graph'its step in for me! They are beautiful to hold and very juicy, I just need to understand how the numbers work as the colours aren't quite blending how they should for me yet!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Have you entered the Scribble and Scrap Challenge yet? The theme is always, "Anything Goes", and the prize is £15 of digis or £20 if you use a scribble and scrap digi in your entry! Why not pop over and enter this fortnight's challenge?
For my project I used the Vintage Steampunk Car SKU 0020 . I printed the background paper and foiled it in silver using my Letraset hot foil machine. I used print and cut on my Cameo to print out the vintage car and cut it out. I then foiled the car in black. I cut my mount pieces on the Cameo (I am hopeless at cutting a straight line!) and cut the letters out of vinyl on my Cameo.
I thought my dad would love this for his birthday!

Magical Mince Pie Anyone?

Christmas is around the corner and the supermarkets are, "Beginning to look a lot like Christmas", so I loved this gorgeous mince pie and fairy digi image which is part of the new releases over at Scrappers Delights.

I typed out the recipe and foiled the text in silver. I cut the pocket, insert, card, holly and mats on my Cameo using a regular cut and the fairy and mince pie using print and cut.All colouring was with Copic, Kurecolor  and Tria pens.

As always it is , "Anything Goes",  at Scribble and Scrap and a new challenge begins today. For my card I wanted to create a distressed vintage feel. I used Vintage Steampunk Corset SKU 008 which I printed, sewed down some of the lines (which doesn't really show!) and then masked. Using Shabby Shutters and Tattered Rose distress ink pads I inked with the pads directly to the image to create blocks of overlapping colour. I used my distrezz-it-all to distress the edges. For the background silver paper I printed using a mono laser printer and then foiled again I distressed the edges of both papers.
Finally I layered it all up and added a washi tape, tape measure, some pins, tulle and a button.
I hope you like the effect!

No Tricks here!

It's Halloween Challenge  time at Scrappers Delights and so I decided to create a treat rather than a trick!
For this project I cut my Halloween basket, pumpkin and Sabrina witch and the word "Treat" (out of vinyl) using my Cameo. Colouring was down with my Copics. I used twisted craft wire for the handle and to attach the tag. I am excited to say that this project featured on the Silhouette Cameo Show on Create and Craft TV on Saturday!

New Releases at Scrappers Delights

Fabulous new releases are available NOW at Scrappers Delights. They include fabulous elves and sprites and an absolutely brilliant collection of mushrooms which are begging to be played with!
Also Scrappers Delights are now available from the Stitchy Bear digi outlet!!

Once again I used Dylusion sprays and stencils for my background. The mushrooms were printed and cut out using my Cameo (and what a finely detailed cut it made!) and coloured with copics. The mushrooms were dotted with blender to give their spots!

A Darling Di's Digi For Halloween!

Some time back I was lucky enough to win a challenge which was sponsored by Di's Digi stamps. I don't know if you have checked them out but they are absolutely gorgeous. I was able to choose some digi stamps as my prize and one of them was this  lovely Wendy the Witch.

To create my card I sponged dusty concord distress ink through punchinella to give a Halloween coloured background. Spritzed a piece of white card with water and then added various Dylusion sprays. Then I applied stencils and spritzed through those with more inks and then water.

The frame was cut on my Cameo and the image was cut using the print and cut facility on the Cameo. Finally I coloured in the image using my Copics and a Tria marker (lol!) I used the blender pen to leech out some colour on the kitten to give some texture to his fur.

Bag it up!

It's "Anything Goes" Challenge time again at Scribble and Scrap and I suggest you visit the online shop and pop a digi in your basket as if you use a Scribble and Scrap digi image you will be eligible for a £20 store voucher (yes you did read that correctly!) If you don't use a Scribble and Scrap digi the prize is still a very generous £15 voucher, so what are you waiting for?

I used the Bumper Owl set which I cut with my Cameo using the Print and Cut feature, to create a gift bag tag and note card set.

Hello to Halloween

Autumn has blown in with a vengeance and Halloween is calling! I was delighted to be given this fabulous digi stamp to work with, you can find it on the Whimsy stamp site just click on the logo below and it will take you there.

I started by creating a multicoloured background using Dylusion sprays, The web overlay was cut on my Cameo and I welded a pumpkin in the middle. I cut another pumpkin in silver and embossed it. I then rubbed in treasure gold and added distress inks.
The image was cut on my Cameo using the print and cut facility and then coloured with copics. The white pearls were also coloured with my Copics.
So here she is,

Decoupage at Scrappers Delights

It's challenge time over at Scrappers Delights and once again you can win a $10 voucher to spend in the Scrappers Delights store! The theme is, "Decoupage", and the Digi I used is called Tears of a Clown (although it reminds me of a little Madam possibly being somewhat stroppy!) I think it shows just how versatile the digis are in the Scrappers store.

I used the print and cut on my Cameo to create my own decoupage layers, each layer was coloured with Copics and I kept to a simple colour palette.

I also have some exciting news,

Unfortunately Debbi no longer has time to manage the monthly Challenge and so Isobel Hunter and myself will be taking over and hoping to emulate Debbi's fantastic work! We are now looking for a new Design Team to begin on January 1st 2014. We have lined up sponsors for each month and most are offering lovely digi stamps for the DT to work with! Our requirements are as follows:-

You are required to blog your project on the day that the challenge goes live and your post must include links to both the Challenge and the Sponsors website and would usually include a badge provided by the Sponsor.

2. Each team member is required to produce one project a month based on a particular theme and using Sponsors' products when provided. The project must be photographed and uploaded by the 28th of each month. If you are going on holiday please let us know in advance so we can get a Guest designer in.

3. Each team member will be given a number to comment on, please comment before the end of the challenge.

4. We would also ask you to enter other challenges with your projects so that our Challenge reaches different audiences!

 5. Most of all we want this to be a fun, friendly group with good communication so we want you to be HAPPY to be on the team x

Edwardian Elegance!

Well I have been having fun with paints and mediums this week! I was inspired by this gorgeous digi image of an Edwardian lady (Vintage Steampunk Lady 1 SKU 0001), which you can buy at the Scribble & Scrap shop  .

I decided I wanted to make it look as if the image was printed on to wood, so I used the techniques I learnt at my last workshop at Sugar and Spice.

I painted a piece of chipboard with Paper Artsy Fresco Finish Chalk paint in Baltic Blue. Once it had dried I smoothed a very thin layer of their crackle glaze across using a spatula. Then I painted over the piece with Nougat fresco paint (at this stage you have to move quickly and in one direction as the crackling starts immediately and you can just pull the paint back off!)

I wanted to transfer the image so at that point I sealed the chipboard with some acrylic varnish spray. I printed the image on my mono laser printer tore around the shape of the image (tearing allows you to transfer more easily as it gives a raw edge to rub away) and painted it with matte medium. I placed it on to the painted chipboard, smoothed it and left it to dry (always reverse an image before printing if it has letters or numbers on it as it will be placed face down on the card).

Once dried I sprayed it with water and gently rubbed away at the paper. Eventually the paper came off leaving the transfer image behind, I like the fact that the image is rubbed through in some places as it gives a vintage feel and definitely looks like wood! I finished it off by rubbing some Treaure gold into the cracks.
To mount the image I embossed a piece of pearlised card rubbed with treasure gold, I then cut four border strips from Kraft card on my Cameo and added them and some blue pearls. A tulle ruffle finished it off!

At Scribble and Scrap the theme is always, "Anything Goes", and the prize is a massive £15 (OOPS! I put £10 but it is £15!!!)  to spend in the digi shop so why don't you join us? You have a fortnight to enter!

As an added incentive there i a 7 Day sale on now so click the image below to go to the shop :)

Draculicious Part 2 : The Prince and his Princess

If you scroll down you will see my last post, "Draculicious!", which is designed from a fab digi download from Scrapper's Delights. Today's post is using the second pair of digi characters which come as a bonus with the Dracula pairing. This couple are pre-watershed as the Prince is now charming (groan) and helping his Princess with her necklace. If you are a, "Glass half full," sort of person then the necklace is a love token just given to his sweetheart. If however you are a, "Glass half empty," sort of person, then the Prince is a distant relative of Raffles and is actually stealing the necklace, the choice is yours!

I coloured, as always, with my Copics and cut everything on my Cameo. I wanted to give the Prince a ruddy complexion in contrast to the pale complexion of Dracula. My bow was sewn by hand from a strip of tulle and the centre is a handmade rose ( cut on my Cameo) which I added glitter to.

I really think this is a fabulous digi set and at the moment it is at the fantastic price of £1.06 for both sets, Dracula and the Prince! So why don't you pop along, buy some digis HERE and enter the challenge? (you don't have to use Scrapper's Delights images to enter but why not give them a try?
