My First ATC ... Ever!

I have made my first ever ATC! The theme was Hearts and Flowers and I decided to incorporate three firsts... First ATC, first zen tangle , first pan pastels! I cut the card on my trusty silhouette and printed the back like a notecard. I then did random zen tangle in pens with various nib sizes. Finally I used pan pastels to colour and blend ( and set with spray and shine). Bethany and I went to Sugar and Spice yesterday and they were selling the red and yellow pan pastels, with sponges and an applicator tool etc for £12.99, so I spent my loyalty voucher :) x
I am off to Stevenage tomorrow, I am very excited as it has been too long since I last went to a craft show! I am hoping to buy some Visible Image stamps and some more pan pastels, let you know how I do!

One for the Men!

Over at Cards Galore the challenge for February is One for the Men. The challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Shernocky Crafts and if you enter the Challenge you have the opportunity to join their Design Team! Just put DT next to your name when adding your entry.
The prize this month is fantastic:

Wouldn't this be fab to win?

For my DT piece I decided that I wanted to use a Saturated Canary stamp of a young man, which I thought had a retro feel to it. I coloured him in with my copics and cut him out. I used the print and cut on my Cameo to make the mats, tag and "record". I made a retro centre for the record, punched a hole in the middle and then glued it to an old cd. I cut the sentiment for the tag out of viyl on my Cameo, I just love how tiny you can cut the letters! I then put the pieces into a cd cover to keep safe and thought, "I like that look!" so I thought I would use the cover on my card. I used the cameo to cut a black film strip to go behind the cover.
When I went to finish the card I had a cup of tea and was looking for a coaster... light bulb moment!

I sprayed the record with varnish and hey presto, a coaster !!! A card and gift in one :)
Hope you like it,
