I could have danced all night!

Well no, I couldn't it has been far too hot, but over at the Scrappers Delights Challenge blog, it's a new Challenge and this fortnight it is, "Inspired by a Song". I chose the song from the musical, "My Fair Lady", because as soon as I saw this digi the song popped into my mind (I am amazed there was enough space for anything to pop in it's so cluttered at the moment!)

Anyway, I used CU Digital Princess 4 and I wanted to create the idea of a mirror on a wall catching a glimpse of the dancers. Using my Cameo (surprise!) I cut out a frame in black card which I then embossed in UTEE  sprinkled with a little verdigris embossing powder. I cut the "glass" in silver and also in acetate. I used print and cut for the digis, fitting them to the frame and coloured them with my copics (must remember to write down the colours used next time!). I sandwiched the digi between the acetate and the silver "glass", as I felt this gave more of a, "Caught in a mirror", look. The embossed backing paper was from Craftwork cards and is quite rich and regal.

There is still time to use the 20% discount code for Scrappers Delights as an added bonus!
Happy Crafting,
Denyse x

I wish to enter this for
Craft Room Challenge 56 Heat Embossing (The black card was heat embossed several times to give it a metallic look)
Oldie But Goodie Challenge Best Dressed  (I have had the backing paper since the Jan sale 2012!)
