As you know I am a DT member at Cards Galore and this month the challenge is to create an Homage to Tim Holtz. The challenge is sponsored by the Letraset and the prize is a fab set of Letraset pens!
Now, I have a confession to make! For some time I have "collected", Tim Holtz stamps but I have never had the confidence to use them! For this challenge I decided to just throw myself in and get on with it. have just bought a book for Art Journalling, and so I decided instead of a card I would try and create a double page in my book.
I started by spraying water on to both pages, then I sprayed brown, black and yellow dylusion sprays on to one page and closed it on to the other page. I then used masks with the inks, and also just with water ( which reacts with the dylusions to create a bleached effect). I stamped with various inks and also Faber Castell Indian ink pens ( using the huffing method). I used tape, coloured with pens and gelatos ( which I also used to highlight various areas). I continued using all these methods to build up the layers. I cut the main sentiment for each page out of vinyl on my Cameo and stuck them on to the pages.

I am really sorry that it is a month since I last blogged but I have been so unwell! However I did make my card for the Cards Galore Vintage Challenge using a Visible Image stamp. The Challenge is sponsored by the lovely Helen at VISIBLE IMAGE
So here is my card I made the backing paper using my gelli plate , stamps and acrylic paints, the main image was coloured with pan pastels and glazed with a sepia glaze :) x
The prize is a fantastic £20 worth of stamps and I can say in all honesty, that Visible Image stamps are of the highest quality, thickly etched polymer.
