I could have danced all night!

Well no, I couldn't it has been far too hot, but over at the Scrappers Delights Challenge blog, it's a new Challenge and this fortnight it is, "Inspired by a Song". I chose the song from the musical, "My Fair Lady", because as soon as I saw this digi the song popped into my mind (I am amazed there was enough space for anything to pop in it's so cluttered at the moment!)

Anyway, I used CU Digital Princess 4 and I wanted to create the idea of a mirror on a wall catching a glimpse of the dancers. Using my Cameo (surprise!) I cut out a frame in black card which I then embossed in UTEE  sprinkled with a little verdigris embossing powder. I cut the "glass" in silver and also in acetate. I used print and cut for the digis, fitting them to the frame and coloured them with my copics (must remember to write down the colours used next time!). I sandwiched the digi between the acetate and the silver "glass", as I felt this gave more of a, "Caught in a mirror", look. The embossed backing paper was from Craftwork cards and is quite rich and regal.

There is still time to use the 20% discount code for Scrappers Delights as an added bonus!
Happy Crafting,
Denyse x

I wish to enter this for
Craft Room Challenge 56 Heat Embossing (The black card was heat embossed several times to give it a metallic look)
Oldie But Goodie Challenge Best Dressed  (I have had the backing paper since the Jan sale 2012!)

Summer Brights!

The sun has finally made an appearance and over at Scrapper's Delights the new Challenge theme is, a colour theme of summery colours. To enter the Challenge please click HERE as usual you can get a great discount on the digis used by the DT and there is a fab 20% off if you use the code below.

I used the gorgeous CU Sakura Digi 1, inspired by Bethany's love of all things manga. When I saw the colour palette and the digi I thought of a magical lollipop land, so I created one. I cut everything on my Cameo and designed my own version of a stepper card! Once again the digi was coloured in Copics. Here she is!

Miaow!! The Cat has the Cream :)

Hi, there time for another crafty DT make. This time it's for Scrapper's Delights as they have some gorgeous new digi stamps for us all to enjoy! Why not buy one and enter the current challenge with it? To help you Janice is offering a fantastic 20% off discount code, plus the prices are already great value anyway :) x

So I used the wonderful Prudence, I coloured the image with my Copics, and created a pink  background from the set of papers that came in the digi kit. I foiled them by printing them with my black laser printer and then running it through my Letraset hot foil machine. I kept the background simple so as to show off the digi which I love :)
So here is the lovely Prudence, must admit she makes me think of MCM where I take my daughter Bethany Cosplaying twice a year!
Happy crafting and enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts!

Back to the 60's!

StampingDragon are sponsoring us over at Cards Galore this month and the prize for the Challenge is a lovely £5 voucher to spend in the Stamping Dragon Store!

This months challenge is a little something different .The theme for this month is...

Copy That!

All you have to do is choose one of the DT projects to "Copy", adding of course, your own spin on it.

I chose the fabulous Sixties Babe Digi Stamp to work with, and kept my design fairly simple. She is coloured with Copics, and as always cut on my Cameo (including the Abbey Road sign and records ). Isn't it funny? today's youth wont know what a record is! I'd better go and get my walking stick and bus pass!

Happy crafting,
Denyse x
