Merry Christmas!

This month the (always) Anything Goes Challenge over at Creative Artiste Mixed Media is sponsored by Scrapmatts
I decided to create a seasonal piece and used my Cameo to cut a set of concentric rings which were, "Wreath sized". I painted these with Powertex to ensure that they would be durable in the rain and then added a lot of very ugly, coloured buttons(!).
The buttons were then covered with Powertex as well and it was left to dry. I cut a Merry Christmas greeting out of card which I glittered up. I also cut two acetate circles and sandwiched the greeting in between with lots of little stars as well. The buttons were then buffed with rub and buff and Treasure Gold.
Glitter was added and also Decoart interference paint in gold. The greeting was sandwiched between the button circle and another Powertex painted, identical, ring and I added ribbon to hang it up and a pearl string to decorate.

I have to say it really sparkles in the sunshine and even in the car headlights!

I hope you all have a very Happy Christmas and (at least!) a little bit of peaceful time to create something lovely! :)
Love,
Denyse x

I would like to enter this for:-
Cut It Up Tic Tac Toe Texture/Glitter/Ribbon Die Cut greeting
As You like It favourite Silver/Gold (Mine is Treasure Gold white Fire, which creates a beautiful sparkling colour that is between silver and gold!)

Fantastic job! You certainly made a silk purse out of a sow's ear! I never heard of the product that you used. I'll have to check it out. Very cool that it sparkles in sunlight (and headlights!!)
