For my project I decided to try a new approach by following a video workshop by Mary Wagerin as part of Wanderlust 2017.
The essence of the workshop is that your project is a journey, so you create many layers which you continuously cover up. It is a hugely difficult thing to do, to let go, trust in the process and cover up work that you like!
I loved some of my layers and then, covered them up and really disliked how the next layer looked!
I used Decoart fluid media paints, DecoArt Elegant finish metallic paints,Liquitex heavy body acrylic paints, tissues, papers, mod podge, Posca Chalk Paint pens, acrylic ink, Neo color II crayons and a Scrapmatts circle stencil!
I will show you the twists and turns my journey took, with the final piece at the bottom!
The beginning of a focal point!
Placing the butterfly to see how it looks.
Very scary ... covering over AGAIN!
The Finished Article!!!
Not sure how I feel about the process but I was pleased with myself that I let go enough to follow the process and not resist the covering up!
