Take a box ...

This month at the Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge we are sponsored by Scrapp Matts & Papertole Australia

who offer a fabulous variety of mixed goodies for crafters and artists alike, to enjoy.
For my DT piece I took a balsa wood box from The Works and decided to transform it into a vintage style box. The frame surrounding the plaque is from Scrapmatts and I painted it with gold Decoart, which is really highly pigmented paint and really gives a metallic look to the fab frame from scrapmatts.
. I am going to be sharing the techniques that I used at a workshop at Beautiful Things Brentwood, Essex and am really looking forward to it.
I love how you can make very basic items look completely aged!
Happy creating!

I love boxes and your transformation of this one is amazing! I love the framed piece on top.Lucky you have a place to teach your techniques--I have been looking for a long time. Apparently no one in my home town is looking to learn mixed media techniques. Thank you for your sweet comment on my rusty butterfly wall hanging! It made my day! Hugs! Sara Emily
